The HxF Mole 3 - Task 1: Pointless Fortunes

For the first part of this task you will need to divide yourself into 3 teams. Team Alpha, Team Beta and Team Gamma. Since we have 20 players, one team will have 6 players, the other teams will have 7 players. For the task to move quickly, I recommend that you organise yourselves such that you always have a player online for each team.

The first post, in bold, that has the 20 players divided into 3 teams as described above will be accepted. Once the teams are set, Part 2 of the task will be posted.

This task is essentially a mix of Family Fortunes and Pointless. Teams Alpha, Beta and Gamma will take turns in picking a question set, from 1 to 9. Each question set contains two questions. Both questions have been asked to 100* members of HabboxForum.

For the first question in the set the team in play will be required to find the top 5/6 answers to the question. Each answer is worth a different number of points. (The more common the answer, the higher amount of points it is worth).

Anyone on the playing team may play an answer by posting it in bold. If it is correct, we will reveal how many points it is worth. If it is wrong, the playing team lose a life. The playing team continue to submit answers until they find all answers or lose all lives.

If the playing team find all the answers without losing their three lives, they win the points for each of the answers.

If the playing team loses 3 lives, the two other teams each get a chance to submit one answer (once again, by posting it in bold). Each team must provide a different answer. If another team finds an answer, they win the points for each of the revealed answers. If both teams find an answer, the team with the answer that scored the most points will get the points for all of the revealed answers. If neither of the teams find an answer, the original playing team get the points for the revealed answers.

This ends the first question of the question set. We now move on to question two.

The team in play will get to submit only one answer to the second question. For this question, they want to get a correct answer, but they want to get the least common answer. So the team wants to find the answers that score the least points. If the team gives an incorrect answer, they score the maximum 100 points. These points will be SUBTRACTED from the teams current score after the first question. After the playing team has submitted an answer, the other two teams may submit an answer. Once all three teams have played question two, we move onto another question set being picked by another team.

So to recap:

1] Team picks question set
2] Playing team submits answers to question 1 until:
3a] Playing team gets all answers correct and wins points, move to step 5
3b] Playing team loses 3 lives, move to step 4
4] Other teams submit answer to question 1 and someone wins points, move to step 5
5] Playing team submits an answer to question 2
6] Other teams submit an answer to question 2
7] Return to step 1 with a different team in the playing position.

So, all clear? Good.

Now the rewards:

All players on the team with the most points after the end of all 9 questions sets will win an exemption.
1 day of VIP will be added to the group prize fund every time all answers are correctly found for the first part of the question set.
1 day of VIP will be added to the group prize fund every time someone gets a correct answer worth 0 points in the second part of the question set.
6 days of VIP will be added to the group prize fund if the game ends before the time limit at 9pm.

Certain answers for question one will award 1 day of VIP to the individual prize fund of the person that gave that answer.



*Clearly it’s quite difficult to get 100 members of HabboxForum to reply to the survey. So we’ve done some extrapolation to make up the numbers, and added a little random variance so answers didn’t constantly give the same number of points.
