I think the EU has actually gone mad.

It's good to see the EU spending our British money wisely again, although nothing can top any of this EU waste.

The worst part is, the only game I see there which is actually popular is Trine.

The rest, never heard of them.

I think the bigger waste of money is them paying politicians to not turn up to work!! Funny that you seem to find sly ways to excuse this but then have the audacity to call this a waste of money when at least this project is funding jobs and creativity whereas the other funds idiocy and second homes for the political elite those down to earth UKIP politicians.

I don't want MEPs to turn up to work. I don't want MEPs to begin with.

Talking to me and telling me how I should be concerned about MEPs not turning up to that absurd talking shop called the European 'parliament' would be like talking to a Sinn Fein supporter over your concerns that their MPs don't turn up to Westminister. Do you think we care?

Wow! You've solved the worlds economic problems! Just get the EU to throw cash at everything and solve the unemployment problem overnight.

Because that has totally been proven to work.

What you want is irrelevant when you’re sitting at your desk with the cheek to criticize projects being funded by the EU as a waste of money when you’re perfectly happy with them paying people to literally not do their jobs. That is objectively a bigger waste of money than the former and whilst you endorse the latter you’re in no position to complain.

Never said you should be concerned, although if you were actually against the publics money being wasted like you claim to be then you should care.

    Do you think we care?
No, that’s the point. I don’t think you do care about the EU ‘wasting’ the British taxpayers money. I think you’re pretending to care (and badly at that since your hypocrisy is glaringly obvious) about it because it’s more ammo for you to use against that big, awful EU. If you truly did care about taxpayers’ money being wasted you wouldn’t support people being paid to not turn up to work. Sitting out of the European Parliament won’t make it magically disappear. While it’s there and those MEP’s are being paid to turn up they should at least do so and vote on whatever’s relevant to their party’s interest. ‘Principals’ work both ways, and if you were so adverse to taxpayers’ money being wasted you would also be against UKIP blatantly abusing it.

Wow! You've solved the worlds economic problems! Just get the EU to throw cash at everything and solve the unemployment problem overnight.
Nope, in fact I never even said I was in favour of this. Just pointing out the obvious contradictions you keep making.

What a hilarious response to my post. You don’t think it’s a waste of taxpayers’ money for politicians to line their pockets with it whilst actively refusing to do the job they’re paid for. At least admit it’s got nothing to do with principal. Everything you claim to stand for is in reality a weak excuse to fire cheap shots at the European Union.

But you like the EU. And you like their mickey mouse 'parliament'. So you lecturing me on the merits of taking part in a parliament that I don't even regard as a real parliament, or worthy of any respect isn't actually going to convince me because I don't happen to give a monkeys about it.

I don't want my MEPs 'shaping' the EU 'from within' or whatever drivel like that you can come up with. Why? Because I don't agree with the institution full stop. As far as i'm concerned, the more mayhem, trouble, funny speeches and contempt the Ukip MEPs can show towards that place then the better. But even better, they're using the EU's own funding against itself and campaigning back home to get us out... and at the end of the day, we've already piled pressure on one of the main governing parties to offer an in/out referendum so we're achieving our goals.

The sooner this country leaves, the MEPs are all fired and Mr Farage retires then the better.

Oh it is, but it's certainly nothing in my real concern with EU membership which is the erosion of sovereignty and parliamentary democracy in this realm. I've often said that even if the EU did make us better off (which it doesn't) I would still vote to leave on those two principles. They're not for sale.

Seems a bit pointless. If they wanted to support a gaming industry you simply do not tamper with it or give it tax breaks which the UK has been doing for at least a year now.

Also, the argument about UKIP MEPs not turning up being a huge waste of money is incredibly tedious when you consider the fact that the whole point of that party, and other parties in other nations who do not turn up, is to protest against the EU. So sitting in Parliament arguing about things you do not want would be considered a waste of money anyway. Furthermore, not all MEPs turn up, even Europhiles tend to not turn up over really boring meetings. In fact, like with the UK Parliament, the only time the majority of them turn up is when a debate over their own pay arises. So much for thinking about the people and their interests.
