Can someone help me with my homework i need to make a list of the pros and cons on Capital Punishment and i
have no idea and i'm stuck like real bad i've looked on google but i am just really confused because i can find
no information...

Pros.

- The purpose of justice is fulfilled by the courts.
- Life is treated as the upmost value by the legal system.
- Acts as a deterrance.
- Closure for relatives of the victim.
- Faith in the justice and legal system is strengthed with public support/confidence.
- Stops the likes of utter scumbag Ian Brady tormenting the family from his cell.
- Prevents the scum from living a lifestyle in prison that is better than our old age pensioners are given.

Cons (not whether I believe in them or not - just arguments you can used.

- Very expensive by most modern methods (ie lethal injection)
- Occasionally people are found not guilty later, after being killed
- Is it right to take someones life because they took someone else's (can I punch you in the classroom because you punched me?)
