Nuisances of the New Year - Ends 12th January

Another year has approached us, and it only seems like yesterday since we were welcoming the year of 2014! So much has happened during 2014 and I'm sure a lot of you will feel the same way! There are many great things about another New Year such as us facing new challenges, growing a year older and meeting new people! There are also some negatives, we might leave a school we loved this year, or move to a new location. For me I have quite a silly problem that I find a negative of a New Year! I will still be writing the year as 2014, not 2015 for months, just out of pure habit! What annoys you about us facing a New Year? Do you have any pet hates regarding a brand New Year?

Whenever I'm writing the date, I can somehow write the year going as far back as 2012. So annoying. It just seems to me that ever since the year 2009, the years have went by so quickly and whenever I think about last year, 2012 automatically comes into my head despite being in 2015.

Although that's not my competition answer above, just a reply to you writing the wrong years. If you're allowed more than two things, enter the above in as well I guess.

So another thing that annoys me about new years is simply knowing that winter is going to be over soon and the horrible months of spring and eventually summer is returning. I simply can't stand the heat - and the new year always reminds me of it inevitably coming back. I need to move somewhere colder, even Scotland is somehow too hot for me.
