Arcade Manager

Can we have this role re-introduced?

I don't think the Forum Staff have to time to perform this role as well as their other jobs, and as we used to have this role it was quite obviously needed.

After this thread I think it's agreed that the arcade needs some TLC.

Hell even that threads gave more publicity to the arcade and it's picked up a bit

The roles it would perform would be;
- Add new games (permanently, trial, for one tournament only, etc)
- Remove broken games (scores not saving, etc)
- Manually hold tournament (since this doesn't support proper tournaments, would have to manually organize it)
- Introduce some reward scheme (Maybe a MOTM type thing, one member per month wins VIP and it can be for a variety of things which could change per month, maybe most plays, most high scores, most time spent, etc?)

and probably some other stuff that I've forgot to include.

wow didnt know there was an arcade manager before but i do remember we had tournaments, they were fun! that was probably the only and last time i played the arcade, until now.

can I just say there aren't any broken games... don't know why people keep saying that? Bejeweled works fine. Angry birds works fine. They all work fine? @scottish; @Wispur; --- If anyone is confused as to how to submit their scores on some games, ask me and I'll show ya

Again, I feel someone specific for that role would be better.

Forum Management obviously have other things on there hands, and having to take time out of that purely to run an arcade tournament or sort out a reward scheme seems out of the question.

This would be an active role, where they would actively be updating arcade etc.

Where as using you or matt would be passive, as you're not going to be constantly doing it.

For it to succeed I feel as though we'd need someone actively maintaining it. Not once a month or something whenever they feel like it

I think you need ridiculous amounts of access to do half those things practically so I don't really see the point.

Some games can be a bit confusing or a bit vague in explanation as how to submit the scores, such as Angry Birds, but I've not encountered any actual broken games.
