    Question Smart TV Issue [+Rep]

So recently I bought a Smart TV and it's got a wifi dongle thing to connect to the internet via our wireless. However... it worked about twice and now it doesn't work at all, I've tried deleting all the profiles are re entering all the details and this doesn't work.

Does anyone know of any solutions for this?

does the TV support the dongle? (i.e. does the manufacturer say x x and x will work?)

It came with the TV and is supported for the make and model of the TV.

try it in your computer/laptop see if it constantly drops connection too

how close is your TV to your router?

if it works in your laptop move your laptop to where the TV is, see if it still works

could be interference, faulty dongle etc

Would the dongle even work in my laptop, aren't they specifically made for TVs?

Ok @scottish; I tried it in my laptop and it does pick up a wifi connection! So I'm not sure what's wrong now :s

No, but ok does it keep the connection (even when it's near the TV)?

So when you plug it into your TV, configure network settings it connects fine?

I believe it should say you're connected somewhere? is there a troubleshoot option?
