Default If you could go back to any period in history, what, where and why?

    A simple question.

The Period? I would go back to the 1800s, probably around 1850 until 1910.

Where? Great Britain. Across the world.

Why? It'd be such an interesting time to live in with the start of the Victorian era, the Industrial Revolution, the discoveries and conquests of unknown lands in the Empire. Everything about the period is interesting and it'd be so good to go back and see it. Whether i'd want to stay though is another question...

    What about you?

I think that may be the sign of addiction...

Also the Victorian era, to see the education systems and the growing empire.
Roman era - always been fascinated. Would be in Italy.

    I guess so, haha!
(In all seriousness though, I would love to travel to the 1500's when travelling the seas were the norm in term of discoveries.)

I'd probably find out the winning lottery ticket number and send myself back in time to win it.

Other than that, perhaps during the second world war (assuming I couldn't get killed/injured and could freely watch history unfold itself from any point of view of the war)

I'd love to be a pirate in the 1700's.
