Default Ancient/historic civilisations or Empires that interest you

Yessss so which civilisations or historic empires interest you for whatever reason. From the Aztecs, ancient Egyptians to the Incas and the Mongols, to Ming China. That sorta thing.

I always like reading up on the British Empire but also the Ottoman, Russian and Roman Empires.

Impact but also their immense size.

    How about you?

I'm literally obsessed with anything Ancient Grecian and very early ancient Rome. Studied Classical Civilisation for A Level and did a module at Uni, I still LOVE researching it and reading bout it. The literature then is amazing!

I'd say I'm into the more "modern ones" and mostly European ones too probably because it's more "on my doorstep" kind of thing. Colonial empires also interest me a bit more, not quite sure why.

Ancient Egypt and a bit of the Mayans and the Picts have become a new interest.
