has anyone ever heard of or got tu go? like i only just saw it then and it's brilliant already... for o2 customers only

you can download or just use the browser, you can receive/make calls and texts just from your laptop so if your phone had no signal or ran out of battery you could use it. i'm just gonna use it when i'm on laptop from now on so i don't have to keep switching from the phone to laptop constantly when talkin to ppl. it's BRILLIANT for me the chat window is easy

thought i'd share this is prob a life changer for me

Three has 'Three inTouch' which is similar. Lets you make calls and texts using WiFi instead of cell data

does it has computer apps though?

Tu Go will be massively useful for that purpose alone (otherwise you may as well use Skype, WhatsApp, Kik etc)

Nope - not yet, at least. And using Skype to make phone calls is considerably less convenient imo - not everyone has Whatsapp, but everyone with a phone can send texts!

Not saying this Tu Go is not an excellent offering, by the way!

Not everyone has whatsapp, true but they also won't have tu go and the Three one either (unless of course it's thrown in with all the other crap that comes on your new phone - in which case it would only be new upgrades/customers having it)

It's USP for me would be the ability to use PC to text rather than having to use phone.

They don't need Three inTouch for you to phone them. But someone does need WhatsApp for you to WhatsApp them

Oh, and you could use WhatsApp on your PC Browser, or AirDroid for texting - not convenient, obviously, but still possible.

That's a good idea! I tend to use Viber, it's an app, but it has a desktop app as well - unfortunately it requires WiFi/mobile data on both sides and it can be temperamental sometimes.
