Default Great Grimsby's PPC vs BBC reporter

I have to share this because my God was it refreshing to see. Nice try by the reporter but she went for the jugular in response. Brill.

Great Grimsby is one of those seats to watch in 27 days time.

    • Popular eurosceptic/pro-controlled immigration Old Labour MP Austin Mitchell is retiring.
    • Labour came close to losing a formerly strong seat in 2010 to Victoria Ayling (then Tory) in a very strong campaign.
    • A former fishing town that was hit badly by Britain joining the EEC in the 1970s resulting in a loss of the fishing industry.

It's one of those seats that has been Labour since 1945 and has become so rotten with one-party rule. It's ripe to fall.

The General Election 2010 result for the seat was...

    Labour 33%
    Conservatives 30%
    Liberal Democrats 22%
    Ukip 6%

The last Lord Ashcroft poll for the seat, in November 2014, had...

    Labour 35%
    Ukip 34%
    Conservatives 20%
    Liberal Democrats 8%

Who knows what will happen (and outgoing Austin Mitchell MP has said this area will vote Labour even if they put a “raving alcoholic sex paedophile” up as the candidate) but this is a prime reason why I am praying for a Labour Government coming from this General Election. There's rotten constituencies across this country, my own area included, who have nothing in similarity with the Labour Party in 2015 yet they continue to be voted in with massive majorities purely because of a tribal hatred of the Conservative Party. An unpopular Labour government, possibly with the SNP in bed with them, where do you think northern working class voters are going to go? It won't be the Tory Party which is dead on its feet anyway.

    Thoughts?
