    Default YouGov Nowcast

There's a new tool the pollster YouGov have created on their website and it is a forecaster not anything else, and basically they forecast a result based on demographics, attitudes and past electoral data in your area. How accurate it will be we don't know, but it is a new interesting tool that has some use now that Uniform Swing Calculators are pretty much useless given how many political parties are now recieving signifigant and varied support.

https://yougov.co.uk/#/centre < --- Type in your Postcode or constituency (if you know it).

And it'll take you to a page and a forecast of first, second and third places for your local area.

YouGov Nowcast predicts my home seat as a Labour hold which is no surprise given how it's the strongest/2nd strongest in country.

    1st Labour
    2nd Ukip
    3rd Others
    4th Conservatives
    5th Liberal Democrats

It doesn't change how I am going to vote anyway as I am not a fan of tactical voting. In any case, I have the option on election day to vote somewhere in the east of the country (Yorkshire) as I am travelling where my preferred party has a better chance so i'm going to use my vote there rather than at home.

    How about you?

You don't tactically vote but you're going to travel to the other side of the country so you can +1 UKIP there to give them more a chance?

Mine has SNP on top of course followed 10% lower by Labour, 20% lower Cons, 5% lower Other 2% lower Libs

No, I just happen to be travelling that day so I can either vote in morning or afternoon at either address.

So you're still tactically voting, as you're going to the place where they have a better chance of getting the seat to place your vote, rather than as standard in your home area.

For as long as I can remember we always had a Labour council until the last elections when we turned to Conservative.

Not tactically voting as in what you know I mean, ie voting X to keep Y out.

The figures for my other seat are more or less the same anyway, just the gap between the two is smaller.

Don't they tell you where your local polling station is that you have to vote in or is that literally just telling you the closest one? Idk
