April Events Roundup!

Hello and welcome to the first monthly Events Roundup!

At the end of each month we will be reviewing what took place that month, announcing the events player of the month and also announcing the winner of the raffle to win 50 credits.

So April was my first full month as the Events Manager and boy has a lot changed, we now have a steady team of staff with more joining which is great to see - more staff, more events! At the start of the month we saw the return of the annual Easter Eggstravaganza which was a week full of events and puzzles brought to you by all departments of Habbox. At the end of the week three winners who had collected the most eggs were all awarded their prizes, those lucky people were Monotonous., Ripieno and Samanfa. We all had a great time setting up the events for you all so thank you for attending all of those!

The remainder of the month focussed more on bringing you the regular daily events with a few little ideas started off and put into the pipeline. We did however have two new Weekly Events launch which is the Avoid Management game, hosted by Meanies every Wedneday at 20:00 BST and most recently was the Bank Game, hosted by Ripieno every Saturday at 20:00 BST. There are plenty more of these Weekly Events to come to you in the future, so keep an eye out for more of them!

Both Habbox users and Habbo users were very generous to the Events Department this month also, we had a whopping total of 1,141 credits donated to us which will be used in future events and also funding schemes such as the new raffle we have implemented. Perhaps the biggest change this month was the updating of the prizes on offer through events. We had the addition of the Raffle Tickets which can win you a gold bar at the end of each month, along with the change to reputation where you now earn 15 points rather than 5 it initially was.

We love it when you all come on down to our events, so we want to reward you even more! Each month we will select one user who we think deserves the crown of events player of the month. To earn yourself this title you will need to make yourself stand out to Events Staff within Habbox Events. There are a number of ways you can achieve this, the main one being just turning up and taking part in events!

You might be wondering purpose this actually serves? The lucky person who is chosen as events player of the month will win the fabulous prizes shown below:1 month of Forum VIP - colour of your choice

So this month was our very first time offering Raffle Tickets as a prize, which all add up and go into a draw at the end of the month to get one lucky player a whopping 50 credits! We had an incredible total of 125 raffle tickets given away this month which have all been entered in to a leaderboard listing how many tickets each user had, you can see this by clicking here. All of the ticket holders have been randomised and entered into a numbered chart as shown in the spoiler below.

All of these numbers have been entered in to a random number generator and the number that was drawn is 98.

A little section for you number lovers now.. in this section I will review the staff numbers and events hosted over the month!

At the beginning of the month we had 7 members in the team, whilst we now have 14 members on the team, so we have doubled in size through April, can we achieve the same in May? I hope so! If you want to join the team, applications are currently open - just check out Habbox.com/jobs for all the information you need.

The first week in April saw a mahoosive total of 43 events hosted, followed by a rapid drop down to 16 events in the second week. We remained even with this figure and had a total of 16 booked for week three, before rising up again to 26 events in week four, with an extra 7 events in the final two days of the month. All in all, that is a total of 108 events hosted through April, by the events team alone so that doesn't include any other staff events held during the Easter Eggstravaganza or any HabboxLive events!

The figures are a vast improvement to what they would have been 4-6 weeks ago, so well done to all involved and thank you everyone for coming along to our events
