Default Buying Credits and Builders Club

this is just to let people know if they buy credits the best (legit!!) ways to buy them.

if you're in the uk like me, you might be fancy trying to buy as a habbo from a different country (there is an option on the credits page top right). most uk banks charge you for international purchases. you can check this page for the purchase fee rates (though might not be up to date).

my bank charges me 2.75% or £1 minimum, so even with the extra cost it still ends up cheaper buying from the canadian or australian page.

this is to buy 225c by the way.

    UK - £15.49
Global/US - £14 (US option goes to 245c, global is 225c, both use $ but you can buy via paypal with global)
    Canada - £10.76 + £1ish purchase fee
    EU - £14 + £1ish purchase fee
    Singapore - £13 + £1ish purchase fee
    Australia - £10.76 + £1ish purchase fee

basically if you tend to buy big bulks rather than small £3 purchases and stick to using GB, you might be losing out on some extra creds!

also note to anyone who buys builders club directly, it is much more useful and cheaper to buy credits first and then purchase builders club from the catalogue, unless you really like the increase in limit.

    don't judge me.

Yeah the UK page sounds expensive. Nice guide though & saves some UK people a bit of money.

gonna bump this with new figures from the increase!

    current UK prices:
    20c - £2
    40c - £4
    55c - £6 (???? why is it cheaper to buy 20c + 40c than this)
    110c - £11
    225 - £21
    590 - £50

i've always found it cheaper to buy through the canadian dollar, because they're not doing too swell at the moment.

    20c - 3 CAD (£1.82)
    33c - 5 CAD (£3.03)
    55 - 7 CAD (£4.25)
    110 - 13 CAD (£7.89)
    225 - 25 CAD (£15.17)
    590 - 65 CAD (£39.44)

so before thinking of international fees this is the saving you're making

    20c - £0.18
    55c - £1.75
    110 - £3.11
    225 - £5.83
    590 - £10.56

you can use paypal with the canadian option, and they charge around 4% of the total purchase + around 20p. or if you have paypal funds already they charge about a quarter/half of that. check out the fee table here. also check out your current bank fees from link in first post to see whether its worth just paying by card.

so imagine buying 225c, it would either be:
    £21 UK price
    or
    25 CAD (£15.17) + 20p (fixed fee) + 60p (which is 4%) = £15.97, still £5 less than the current UK price.

if you use phone to pay though you're screwed, soz.
