title might be confusing? but yeah im clearing out old pm's and i was reading a convo i had with @Intersocial; about a competitions survey he did at the time. (05-08-2013 08:23 PM)
gonna post what was said here cause it's still a valid point and maybe a good idea, you tell me.

Why is there no competitions widget on Habbox.com either? There's events and general forum posts but no competitions. As well as that you could also talk to News about posting an article weekly for the visitors not registered on the forum - telling them about which competitions are active - And maybe a Habbox Today Image for competitions (inb4 wait for v7).

there's even a wiki one now? lol

With the bold, I will probably be outright rejected for that unless Chippiewill has the time. He did one for badges so he ideally should do one for competitions if we ask, but lord knows.
We will discuss the thing with news that you just said also.

A Habbox Today shouldn't be too much issue, as they still get requested on occasion so I shall see about that + the draw something competition

- I agree largely with this point. Most people on Habbo and those who have answered this forum have said they dislike graphics competitions because it's the same old "recolour X Y and Z". Do you have any ideas for how they could be improved though, to a level that wouldn't make it too hard for certain users?

Well everyone likes Draw Something/Draw My Thing which is a fairly simple concept, a Habbox version wouldn't go a miss imo, maybe spiced up with certain Habbo/Habbox themes to suit what's currently going on (e.g HxSS is soon so summer theme). Could be a monthly/2 week thing - maybe skipping a month here and there to stop repetitiveness.

Wooo my question of the week! That was around 2011 ish I believe and was just a widget in which there was a competition question and a submit button and it sent the entries to a special subforum in the general managers forum and we were able to randomly select a winner from there. Of course it could probably be done a lot easier these days with V7 . You could even have like a different rare prize each week or something maybe?

It was actually really popular and attracted a lot of entries, and was something that could be done interactively through the site which was nice.


Also I agree that the competitions widget should definitely be brought back. I used it quite a bit (when it was working) on V6 in order to quickly see a list of what comps were available etc.

I think this would actually be a great idea to bring back, especially the idea of the weekly comps for credits! I will see what Samanfa says and if she is happy, I'll speak to Tom about sorting it
