    Default Laptop Suggestions

    Hi hi

So I'm in need of a laptop to take to uni with me mainly for typing essays and accessing documents etc, but I'm clueless on this sort of thing!

If anyone could suggest something that would work for me that'd be fab

I need something that's quite small (so not the usual big bulky laptops) as I'm carrying it a long way, it needs quick wifi capabilities and just being able to do the general basic stuff. So I'm not after something amazing but I don't want something rubbish
It'd also be a massive plus if it had the power to play games. (This isn't a main need as I know a laptop of that size won't have the right graphics or anything like that to run games). Budget is up to 500, unless there's anything amazing just over that

So yeah itd be a massive help if someone could suggest some which could work for me! Thanks

Would personally recommend this. It's slightly over your budget, but it's pretty good power for the price and will work a hell of a lot better than integrated graphics. Whilst I don't have this specific laptop, I do own an MSI laptop and they're pretty nice.

I believe there are a couple cheaper on that site, but they either had a worse processor/graphics card or no OS and weren't much cheaper for it. To be honest I was surprised to find one as cheap as that as I don't recall there being any "cheap" laptops when I bought mine ~2 years ago.

Ahh fair enough tom. I don't think I'll go for one which good for gaming then as it's pushing me over my already too high budget

Oo that looks quite good actually Martin! Or it looks good to someone who is clueless about this sort of thing
