Default [HxWeen] Treat or Treat! - Ends 27th October

It goes without saying that trick-or-treating is a huge part of Halloween, especially for kids. I mean, when else is it socially acceptable to knock on a perfect stranger's front door and ask them for free sweets? Albeit, although I've only ever been trick-or-treating once in my life (I went as a warlock, and let me tell you now, I was on point - I had a staff with a skull on the top and everything), I thoroughly enjoyed it and managed to bring home a big haul. In my opinion, one of the absolute best things about Halloween though is all the candy and chocolate stuff you can buy in the supermarket at that time of year. So, for this competition:

Tell me what the best Halloween goodies you have eaten/made/seen is! It doesn't have to be candy - if it's a pumpkin soup you made, that totally counts!

You'll definitely get bonus imaginary points if you made it yourself, of course. Now, excuse me while I go and patent some kind of bat-shaped crisps.

Prize: One Trick or Treat and 15 Rep

These are brilliant I think, hot dogs wrapped in thin strips of dough (so basically a specialised sausage roll) to make little tasty mummies I'm much more into savoury food than sweets so these are what I'd want

I first went Trick-or-treating when I was around 13 years old.. My mum said I was too old to be going as I might intimidate other kids as I'll be a lot older than them.. So I was forbid to go.. However on this occasion, my mum went out for a meal around a friends house, so naturally I whacked on a random mask I found casually laying around (As you do) and proceeded to vacate the house!

With it being my first time, I joined in with a couple of friends, first place we went was an area where all the old-biddies lived, as apparently they give the best stuff...
Unbeknownst to me, by "the best stuff" they meant that they didn't have sweets at all... They gave out MONEY! We did around 10 houses in that area, and I think we all profited around £10, which isn't a lot these days, but 13 year old me would be to differ. With that £10, I purchased about double the amount of sweets/chocolate I got from a whole night of Trick-or-treating... Not sure if thats because back then a Freddo was only 10p, or because I suck at trick-or-treating, but either way I was happy.

I think money is the best goodie you can get at Halloween, as you can not only select what goodie you want, but you can often get MULTIPLE of them, as opposed to only 1 if you'd have got it by Trick-or-treating.

There's another shooting today, and this one was bad
I'm glad that we all hope and pray, but it takes more than that
We've been trying, we've been crying
Hoping that they will do more than keep lying
I need to believe that people can change
Or else this life has all been in vain
What's the point of fighting if we're fighting for a lie?
