What are your thoughts on marriage?

Our generation seems to be much less interested in our parents and grandparents and idk I was wondering what you guys think of it.

Do you want to get married? Why/why not?
Do you think your opinion will change?
Would you marry someone if you didn't love them?

I'd definitely wanna get married if I found the right person.

The only thing that puts me off is that you're the centre of attention yknow, all eyes on you. Which I'd hate.

I definitely couldn't marry someone I didn't love, though. It'd obviously end in divorce which is such a HASSLE.

i dont care about it that much like i never dreamt what my wedding would be like or anything and im in no rush at all (although want to do it before age 35 cause still wanna look hot at my wedding) but i would prefer to be married than just be in a relationship forever.

I don't see marriage as part of my future, no, but it could easily change if I meet "the right person". Haven't really had a long-term relationship work out even slightly so it's not something I can imagine! I kinda think that marriage is such a religious institution and expected or pressured rather than really wanted, I'm not religious at all and feel like I can stay committed to someone without a piece of paper proving it. Although it does have good benefits for death and stuff as well so if I did it might be for convenience? Sounds bad. But I'd only marry someone I loved definitely.

I guess I would like to at some point but I just need to find the right person and be able to keep a relationship going I suppose.

In all seriousness, I have no strong thoughts one way or the other and wouldn't care either way. Having said that, if I had to jump off the fence right now, I would probably be inclined to say no.

I think marriage is helpful for a lot of things and I do think it is very important if you have children or buy a house (or something else big) together just because of legal reasons.

But I'm really not happy about the idea of getting married myself. It's selfish but I don't think I would ever want to promise to love something no matter what (specifically the "in sickness and in health" line) because I just don't think I can commit to that.
