this is so scary doing a feedback post
my last one was Me Writing Like This About Habboxlive Listeners i mean it got like 150 replies tho

first of all would like to say articles are going great atm its not like yo sort it out or whatever and its a discussion we've had before but its like died
but yes so clap4martin you doin great and to your news reporter people (s/o to m4tttf or idk his name but yeh him especially)

AS YOU ALL KNOW forum activity has been down in the dumps lately n its hard to get activity flowing so was talking to the famous @FlyingJesus;

so we've had the talk that maybe post the articles on the forum and put a link on the site blahblah and I understand that you want ppl to visit habbox.com (i mean so do i like how else are u gonna tune into the amaze dj gina) so thats not really a question
BUT right i found out u appaz post the article links in the community notice board?? hopefully i havent been told rubbish and its actually posted there but i mean why cnb?
like ok i get that u want people to comment on the site and not the forum so it stops discussion
but do that many people actually see it and readi t in the cnb??
so take this thread for example

if you really want to minimise the discussion ofi t on the forum then i'd suggest locking the thread
but that got a much better response than any of the thread in cnb? like considering i didnt even know that they posted it in cnb until now lmao im sure not that many other people do too

ANYWAY it could be a rly stupid or obvious idea and i apologise for my bad grammar spelling everything pls 4giv me and 4giv me if its a godawful idea
i just think u could at least attract people who are interested in the subject

im usually all bout the discuss anything forum and i check the subforums regularly n if som1 posted an article link about something i'd be interested in reading 4sure i'd read it
and then i'd be tempted to comment also if i cant comment on the thread

altho maybe im just an oddling or whatever else

but yes WELL DONE MARTIN articles r gr8 i enjoy the member spotlight

When I was in Articles it was encouraged that we posted a thread on the forum in the forum it would fit into most - so the Pura/Iced thread you linked to went in Habbo and this was followed for a while. I thought it was still followed? I could be mistaken, but I'm sure it still happens it just depends on the Article, like @lucpix; about Habbo was in Habbo and not CNB. I think it's only posted in CNB as there's no where else fitting for it to go and the spotlight one is getting to know someone from the community more.

matt made 10 articles in past week and ive seen the member spotlight in cnb like 10minutes ago but no others
like even just discuss anything or whatever

Articles is going really well at the moment I agree, and as people prob know I'm all for having threads with the full article so that discussion can take place on the forum (where discussion should be) rather than the site but if that's not going to happen then this is a good step to take in order to get maximum readership. I only see articles threads because I use the new posts button but more often than not I skip them because there's no chance for discussion in it, so I do end up missing a lot of the articles that are put up on the site. A simple change like this would make them more visible and hopefully more inviting than the announcements section, and it's not like it'll flood out genuine threads just having a few here and there in whatever section is relevant

Looking at the recent articles I can see one that would fit into Habbo perfectly, and a couple that could go in Discuss Anything perhaps? I think it could be done more and could be encouraged more if it isn't already!

the habbo ones deffo attract a good amount of attention when a thread is posted and probably from ppl who come onto habbox to look at habbo stuff (if any1 still does that) so def def def should have habbo ones with a thread posted
u can see the difference in the members viewed from the threads in cnb n threads in the habbo section as well

I do think tho that if this happens more then they shouldn't be locked, because the forums here for discussion and it's a much better platform for it than on habbox.com! And lets face it, compared to a few yrs ago can habbox really afford to be picky on where they focus their discussion? The more the merrier, it shouldn't be limited and prevented yknow what i mean

As Sam said, articles writers are encouraged to post a thread onto the relevant forum containing a link to their article (and some relevant info/questions to get a discussion on the forum started). We even have special banners that can be used for such threads too when wanted!

I agree though that this has slipped a little lately! I shall ensure that everyone is reminded about this.


In terms of the community notice board, I tend to post articles there that didn't really fit into any of the others- however posting them in the spam forum could be a good idea if that's what people want! I saw it more of an announcement rather than a discussion. I think maybe we could even get away with doing both, so that if people do happen to check the community notice board for stuff then its there, but its also in the spam forum too which is where a lot more people may look/be active in. I would probably also leave them open as it wouldn't hurt if any discussion DID come from them. (So long as it's not slating the article of course)

In short:

1) This is something which is meant to be happening, and is encouraged- but appears to have slipped lately. I think with the amazing amount of articles we have these days (especially thanks to people like Matt), it would be fabulous to have threads for them too in the relevant sections.

2) I shall spread my beautiful CNB threads to the spam forum and try to encourage people to discuss stuff there too!

3) I won't close them unless absolutely necessary as any discussion is good!
