Photo-opoly - Ends 22nd March

During a board game social at university, someone mentioned Photo-opoly - a customisable edition of Monopoly that allows you to place your own photos on the properties. I thought it was kind of fun how they've made so many special edition versions of Monopoly, including a Doctor Who, The Simpsons, and even a Disney Pixar Edition. It was probably inevitable that a customisable version would also exist.

For a chance to win this competition, I want you to think of a theme for a Monopoly game. Your answer must include what would represent the properties, the pieces and an example of a Chance or Community Chest card.

The most creative idea will win!

Best Monopoly versions I've seen are The Big Bang Theory and Pugopoly ones .

My idea:

A Habbo themed one:

The properties would feature Public Rooms both new and old as well as iconic rooms in the past such as Trade City and Casinos to bring a bit of nostalgia to the game. The properties would also be colour coded to the colours on the 'Color Wheel' (the WIRED version, so the colours would be red, yellow, pink, blue, light blue, green and orange). Similarly to the real game, the colours represent various properties that get higher in value when you go through the colours.

The aim of the game is to purchase properties via Credits, which are in note form for this game, but are coloured to represent the actual value (so 1c would be bronze, 5c silver, 10c gold, etc. they will also have the icons of the Credits on so there would be a sack on the 20c one).

When you purchase properties, you have the opportunity to build Habbo Hotels - a bit more advanced than the normal game, instead of building random hotels you build them in certain countries and the more sought after the country then the higher the value. However, you are limited to which countries you can build in depending on what colour properties you own.

E.g. the worst/least valuable would for example be the Light Blue Properties, so you would only be able to build in countries such as Ghana, Estonia etc. (these are only examples) whereas the higher value properties (which would probably be Blue Properties like the normal game) you would be able to build the hotels in USA, Australia etc.

The aim of the game is to bankrupt the other players, and be crowned the ultimate Habbo Hotel Monopoly champion.

Throne
Habbo Avatar
Habbo Pet (perhaps an unusual one like Croc)
Gold Bar

Chance and community cards would be in the form of gift wrapping for the Community Chest and scams for the Chance. The gift wrapping would be a Community Chest card that features the prestigious 1c wrapping ! This will feature all kinds of good things, but sometimes some negative things will crop in there because it's Habbo after all!

A scam card could work in your favour sometimes if you get the nice person who gives you your money back, or will it just be a disaster?

As opposed to jail in the proper version, you are faced with bans, and you must roll a double with 2 HoloDice to get out within 3 tries, or pay 100c to the banker!

Also Free Parking is now known as the Infobus!
