When you were a kid I assume you were taught the usual traits by your parents like good manners and general life skills. But did you ever get taught something a little odd that's followed you into adulthood? If you don't get what I mean I'll give you an example:
As children my brother and I were taught that when we went out to dinner somewhere we'd get one drink for the entire meal, and if you guzzled it you'd be on water. So naturally, I learned to make one drink last an entire meal and even now at 24, I still do this. I told my boyfriend this and he thought it was kind of weird. For the record my parents weren't stingy, my brother was just a guzzler.
So my question to you is, whether you were taught to do something as a child that may be a bit weird to others but was the norm in your family and have continued the habit into adulthood?
Post below, especially the funniest!

When I was younger, my parents would always tell me not to get into the habit of smoking because it's a really bad habit to get into. And my dad, being the comedic person he is, told me when I was really young that if someone was smoking close by you and the smoke was getting in your face, just start coughing so they'll know it's bothering you. And, of course, little girl me thought that was hilarious because it was something that my dad came up with. But, now that I'm older, I'm still disgusting with the smell of smoke so I will nonchalantly start coughing quietly if someone is smoking next to me. I know it's kind of rude, but hey, so is them blowing their nasty smoke in my face! (sick)
