Debates Forum Guidelines
Current (Acting) Debates Leader: jamiexo
Rules updated on: 6 March 2019
Welcome to debates! Hopefully, you're here because you have some great opinions and want to share them in a nice and constructed way rather than shouting at people. That's great, and guess what? You can even win prizes for that!
There will be at least one Official debate a month with varying topics that will last for 15-30 days. There will also be a number of unofficial debates going on that you're welcome to join in with.
If you would like to suggest a topic to be debated please send your topic idea to jamiexo and if approved you will receive 2 Weeks of VIP of your choice and 500 tokens.
- It's okay to discuss related topics to the main debate topic, but try not to stray too far from the main topic.
- Quotes and sources should be used in "QUOTE" tags. Try and back up your point with as much evidence and statistics as possible.
- Don't attack other members. They are entitled to their opinion just as much as you, respect that and debate fairly.
- If you are debating against another member, please either TAG the member or QUOTE the section of their point you wish to reply to. This enables that member to reply and continue the debate.
- No pointless posting. Short comments such as "I agree" or "It's wrong" are not valid arguments (see guideline above about backing up your argument).
- Awards will not be given to members pointlessly posting or similarly ignoring other members points and reiterating their own points constantly.
Please Note: Failure to adhere to these rules may result in restricted access to the forum.
