Twitter being rebranded by Elon Musk to X

Twitter has improved in terms of free speech since Musk took control of the company... but this reband is just naff.

And if he forces us all onto the black mode I don't think I'd be able to use it anymore. but yeah the blue tweety bird is dead

Never used Twitter really so can't say I care, though I can't say I agree it's a smart idea to change the name and the iconic bird. He apparently wants Tweets to be known as x's now and I can't ever see that catching on.

I hate the new logo. Since the app has been updated, 1. I keep looking for the blue bird and missing the X completely, and 2. now I need to reorganize my home screen because the blue matched the surrounding apps and the black looks like a giant hole.
I'm not ever calling them X's either.

I had Twitter on my phone for a longgg time and just never really used it, so I have it deleted now, but I hate the new logo. I feel like it's hard to change something like this when everyone is used to it being one way for years.

I think that's Threads. I downloaded it recently and it's like an off-cut of Insta, but definitely has a Twitter feel to it.
