The State Visit of the the Emir and Sheikha of Qatar

The King and Queen are hosting the Qatari royals at Buckingham Palace





The Qataris are slowly coming in from the cold after the rough relations of the last decade with it's immediate neighbours.

This is expected to be the last State Visit banquet held in Buckingham Palace for the next five years or so, as that wing of the palace is the next to undergo a huge and much-needed refurbishment. After that, State Visits will mainly be hosted in Windsor Castle.

The Queen looks lovely given she's only just recovered from pnuemonia.
