I have always found the man completely hollow (more hollow than the average modern politician, which in itself is saying something) and his northern routine of constantly mentioning things like chips and gravy along with The Smiths and Oasis is really starting to grind. Still, was nice to see him manage to wear a suit and tie for once.

This is his third attempt at the Labour leadership (he tried in 2015 and 2020) and he was elected unopposed this time with no contest. The last few weeks he has been hiding from the media and taking no questions. I have detected no enthusiasm amongst anyone I know other than one friend, yet the Labour parliamentary party seem to see him as the great hope.

Is anybody here feeling any enthusiasm for the Burnham Ministry?

(yes Buckingham Palace, it's a Ministry not an Administration - we're not American!)
