I was lucky. The friend that finally got me on Runescape helped me out a lot. He's the one that got my rune pickaxe and rune wc axe as well as update my armor once I was able to wear it up to full steel. And he pointed out the quests that would be good to get done with early... and if I need a fair rs trade, I know who to go to.
