You'll need some space aswell. And a button is only a temporary switch for about a second, so if you want the doors to stay open with a button instead of a lever it will be a more complex circuit.

Personally, I was only using /give to a) get stuff from the Nether when people asked and b) when people had lost items to people like NaughtyNemo, I don't really think it's fair to go AFK only to come back and find you're back at spawn having lost like 5 diamond tools from being blown up with TNT (which is now disabled).

Well if we hit 15 and you have 1.5GB RAM allocated to it (guessing you it stayed under 1.5GB) the server with 4GB will be able to hold something like 50 since you get more and more shared libraries, the more you scale up with this sort of thing. Unless Minecraft works completely different with memory allocation to every other application I've run on my servers :S.

We could probably push it up to at least 25 players with 1.5GB, but on this VPS I wouldn't wanna risk it, but yeah, you're right we should be able to get at least a 50 player limit.

I quite agree, although I was under the impression that the loot from stabbing Dan was his own stuff anyway as he'd been mining diamonds since before most of us even went on the server. Still, using /give definitely takes away from the point of having a server where we work for what we make

No, I cancelled that order, they messed me around so much. We're now with another company who have flagged our order as a priority order. Without the priority order they say "24 - 48 hours (but usually less)" :)

The actual MC server isn't yet, we're testing the dedi today and hopefully we can move it sometime this afternoon, we currently have a second copy of our MC server on the dedi and actually, despite being in America it seems so much more responsive :O

Just looked at it for half an hour, it has to be one of the worst releases I've ever seen LOL. THERE IS *~*NO*~* documentation on what needs doing to get it to build from source, what goes where, how I need to configure Apache etc :|

LOL. I read the thread a little last night and there is a little bit more detail. Maybe once it gets ported to the new Bukkit format it'll be a little better.

Spawn used to be over by the main station, but was moved by Tom to the village center to keep new arrivals safe from monsters. We should build a spawn building back at the old location imo.

OH YEAH forgot to ask is there any way of making it so that we can have 2 /home functions like a /home and /home2 because it's a loooooooong walk for me between my two areas and I haven't gotten around to shifting 7 boxes full of stuff and a reed farm to my newer one
