Buy low sell high, it's as simple as that. :P Use assassination missions to your advantage too because Lester will tell you where you should invest.

GTA 5 Makes $800 Million in One Day


Take-Two has announced that Grand Theft Auto V generated approximately $800 million in sales worldwide during its first 24 hours on sale. According to Take-Two, this marks “the highest first day retail sales of any title in the history of the company and the Grand Theft Auto series.

Take-Two notes that the figure includes sales across both platforms in all territories, but added that GTA 5 has not yet launched in Japan or Brazil.

Haven't played it that much as I haven't had time, but I loved the first mission, I thought it was a great way to start off the game! The graphics look great, I love the map - I didn't like the more arcade-like driving and preferred the GTA IV style driving, but I've got used to it. The convertible cars feature is great, I noticed you can get on trams but I don't think you can get on buses? The changing to 3 characters might get confusing, but it is easy to switch. And yeah, hopefully I'll be able to play it more at the weekend :P.

The driving is tons better in this than IV in my opinion :P

The traffic lights are always stuck on bloody red, it's so unrealistic - like they're doing it so you'll be tempted to always run reds. FML I don't like being stuck on traffic D:

My satisfaction with this game just went up to 11 / 10

Just doing the mission where you dress up as James Bond and steal a DB5 rigged with spikes and an ejector seat a la Goldfinger. Favourite movie series and favourite car both referenced. Rockstar rock.

yeah i'd say i prefer the driving in this one, gta iv was alright but this one is more impressive imo

just wanna say how much i love the way your character moves too, the jumping over walls and other stuff is amazing especially when you jump into walls haha

Driving has grown on me too. Only thing I am not too keen on is automatic gear up when in high revs. Making it impossible to connect drifts :(

Have been playing it for the past 2 n a half hours and it has been really cool so far! Although the driving was a bit touchy at the beginning (probably cause im used to iv) and yeah you get used to it.

Happened 4 times in a row at the same bit, talked with someone from Portugal with the same problem. Half the textures wouldn't load, characters were invisible.

I took apart my ps3 and cleaned it all to no avail. Tried it on my girlfriends 500gb slim ps3 (mine is the fat 80gb? ps3 over 6 years old) and it worked first time. Think because it reads from HDD a lot could be my HDD?

Other than that's the game is awesome.

Does anyone else not wish for the camera to be able to save photos to a different storage method as well as the online area. It's just when you can't get the connection to socialclub you also lose your photo I believe unless you keep trying but that's pointless. Unless you can get them back?

Lot's of replayability with the split ending and heists so I'll probably spend some time doing that and golding missions now on. Story fell a little flat in comparison to GTA IV, in GTA IV you had a fairly persistent antagonist whereas in GTA V it goes on so much about the heists that it kinda shoehorns the villains in right at the end.

The helicopters are really frustrating though as they don't really have any air resistance so you just keep going if you stop actively going in a direction so trying to stay in one spot is pretty impossible. I definitely preferred IV's helicopters.

I give the game 10/10. Completed the game about 5pm. Very good. A lot of hidden stuff too to look for which keeps it interesting beyond sidequests etc.

Grand Theft Auto 5 hits $1 billion in three days, sets new record

Three days after launching, Grand Theft Auto 5 became the fastest entertainment property to hit $1 billion, according to company estimates released by publisher Take-Two Interactive today.

"Grand Theft Auto is a cultural phenomenon and Rockstar Games continues to redefine what can be achieved in interactive entertainment," Strauss Zelnick, chairman and CEO of Take-Two, said in a prepared statement. "We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary critical and commercial response to Grand Theft Auto V."

The news comes just days after the company announced that the title tallied $800 million in sales on its launch day.

Yeah you can but there's a few things at the start where you need to take part in I believe. You don't have to do much before you can just roam if you like.

i chose to kill trevor (he annoyed me). You get a call from Jimmy asking if you killed him, Franklin denies it. Then you get an email from Lamar (he's pissed). But nope, I only have Franklin & Michael to play as. Although you can now buy the propertys that Trevor owned liked the nuclear diving thingy and all that. I think the empty slot at the bottom is to use your online character when it launches. idk

Personby's or whatever it is called sells some decent suits. But yeah, I did notice them keep changing ;(

I love the matte black vehicles etc - looks really nice, and buying a garage for $30,000 is a useful feature too. Can live comfortably on that amount of cash, but do need more to really start buying stuff ($150,000,000 to buy the golf club!)

Ok after a long hunt I finally got GTA from Game!

Buy stocks in a car company and destroy the competitors cars. Buy stocks in guns early on as they go up a lot from you buying guns and killing people I guess. Sometimes on the radio they'll give you stock tips. Sometimes you'll kill someone in the main storyline and they'll affect stock prices. Sometimes if you steal a vehicle it affects their stock prices.

Just have to pay attention to dialogue and check which companies have stock.

So far I've noticed two that give you a hint and I think I missed one too. There's the one where you kill the fella from LifeInvader so Lester warns you the stocks will drop and basically to sell them if you have any. Then there's another one where you have to kill the redwood cigarettes fella, their stocks drop and the other cigarette brands stock shoots up, made me a nice profit anyway hehhh

Simple concept, really! When the graph shows shares are at a low (compared to previous days) you can probably make a profit by buying shares, and then selling them for more in a couple of days or weeks.

Same here (27% I think). Not going mad to do missions, just playing it how it should be played! Want games to chill out, not to race to finish it - having said that, the joys of GTA is that you can keep playing after you've finished, which will be even better with GTA Online available soon too!

I'm at about 30% so far myself, taking it slowwww :D

I've found investing in the lifeinvader stocks to be easy. For ages they would go down to ~3.42 and then rise to ~3.62 before dropping again. By far the best stocks to invest in (not including before assassination missions obv) as they're so cheap... Then I got lucky as I forgot to sell and they actually went up to 4.5 for some reason after I'd invested like 300k in it :D!

Also I've heard you shouldn't do the assassination missions until the end as by then you'll have the most money to invest in the stocks that'll rise. No point doing it when you've only got a few hundred thousand to invest when you could wait until the end and invest millions making far more money!

Having a lot of fun so far in the single player. Encountered a glitch that made me skip a mission, but other than that it's been great and I actually care about the characters. GTA IV is was so boring, I just did not give a **** about Nico's story and the grey/brown/black world that he lives in, but GTA V is definitely a step up. Managed to get into GTA Online, the actual game modes are pretty ****** but it's a lot of fun just driving around with friends causing chaos.

Yeah, they said due to unexpected demand. In some ways I honestly cannot believe they weren't expecting this sort of demand (pre-order figures must have been huge for a start, and this game has had gigantic coverage for over a year). On the other hand, it must be pretty difficult to believe that a game that you make would take $1,000,000,000 in three days.

To those interested there is a nice way to earn $9000 every 5 - 10 minutes online. All you need is Rank 22+ and have Martin Madrazo on your phone. Simply call him up, request a Job and accept it which will be to kill a lawyer, take the evidence, avoid the cops (You can call lester to remove them) and then take the evidence back to his house. No more than a 5 minute drive each time. Though I should point out that since an update you cannot repeat the mission through the Replay button, a simple solution to that is to exit to freeroam after finishing and calling Martin again and repeating.

Gerald has a mission like this (violent duct) where you get 9k every time and it took like 2mins to complete the misson but they have reduced it to 3K now. I use to do it over and over again with my buds and we bought the $205,000 apartment. I bought some points so I could get 200k via shark card just waiting for them to take the cards off maintenance then I can get the 400k house!

Sorry to double post so soon but I just found out that Rockstar are giving out $500,000 to everyone who has played GTA V this month. It'll come in two lumps of $250,000 (One next week, and the other at the end of this month) as a token of sticking with the game during it's rough launch, what with the connection issues, loss of characters etc.

But before you can get that money, you'll have to download a patch next week (Patch 1.04), which will fix some final issues like vehicle purchases failing and also allow Rockstar to be able to send out the money. If you're unsure still read this (http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/51565/grand-theft-auto-online-half-a-million-gta-stimulus-package-this.html) and keep an eye out for when the two deposits are made.

By no means the most efficient way of making money, but myself @Smurfed- (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=80910) @xxMATTGxx (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=1020) and @Skynus (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=66909) found racing quite good. Everyone gets money and it doesn't get as boring quite as quickly as repeating the missions does. I think the more people racing then the more money each person gets, it also seems to increase over time, I think in our dozen or so races the winnings for 1st place went from about 5.5k to 7k or there or there abouts.

edit: should probably add that the track we used only takes 1:50 - 2:30 to complete depending on what type of cars you use.

I'm not sure if it's just a mental thing (quite possible - I don't take a note of my balance when I turn off!), but I find I lose less/nothing if I've deposited my cash into the bank?

That's how it goes :P The stock market (at least the offline one) updates every 30 seconds I believe. I find that normally by the time I've bought the stocks at the current price, the 30 seconds is over and so it updates seemingly instantly after you buy. And don't take too much notice of the graphs, they're not to scale/right in the slightest

Bad news for those waiting for the Stimulus package like I am. The Stimulus package has been delayed again until sometime next week due to persistent bugs, which Rockstar hope to release an update for by next week before they can distribute the first batch of $500,000.

However the good news is that over on Rockstar's Newswire page they that the first major add-on update coming early November will be the Beach Bum pack, which features new Beach themed vehicles and weapons that can be used both online and offline aswell as new clothes, tattoos and Jobs. I've completed the game. Highly disappointed with the ending I got :( Not sure what to do now that I'm finished the game. I'd like to have a go at that conspiracy people are talking about but I know nothing about it.

You can replay the final mission and play all endings I think

I hate all endings except C i think it is.

What I hate about them is that if you choose to kill michael, trevor wants no part whatsoever in it. Whereas if you choose to kill trevor, michael actually helps franklin. :ll... Glad I chose ending C.

The most OR house on the game. I had it and moved out after a week... it annoys me when people just wait outside with sticky bombs blowing up cars as soon as they come out. Theres quite a few nice houses if not nicer with the same 10car garage. The one I have now (Richard Majestics) is imo nicer than the 400k apartment. It has a better view and its not as obvious as the 400k in RH.

You need an apartment to do heists, so there is a point (can also set spawn to house rather than last location so you always spawn safe if you're that bad or easier to get back from like 5 miles away). I'm pretty sure higher tier house (so the 200/250k one being lowest, 400k being highest) the higher level or heists you can do apparently (not confirmed afaik yet)

Started to just chill on single player mode. Splashing the cash with Franklin, bought some expensive properties and also done up a few different cars.

Made 500k off buying rival stock too, so not all losses :L

There's perhaps a certain way of doing it or on a bike or something.. have to land straight or something. Stunt jumps look quite difficult though. No more difficult than those knife flights I hope.. though they weren't that bad in the end. :)

Update 1.05 came out, still no sign of the stimulus package (first half should be in a few days, with the rest by the end of next week). Then later this month there'll be the Beach Bum Pack to go through :P

As mentioned previously, this update addresses some residual issues where occasionally people's vehicles or vehicle modifications were disappearing due to a cloud save failure - as well as the other fixes mentioned below:

Built in measures to prevent users from losing their progress when there is a cloud outage
Built in a number of measures to protect players’ cash balances even if there are network problems
Fixed an issue where on rare occasions during network problems the player could lose their Online vehicle or mods after exiting GTA Online

How do you trade vehicles?!


Presumably through some glitch which allows you to dupe cars

Something like that...

1. Find someone with the car/bike you want.
2. Jump in/on as a passenger.
3. Call Gerald and request a job.
4. Accept, join and start the job alone.
5. (You should spawn in/on the other persons vehicle)
6. Drive the vehicle to your garage and store it.
7. Exit garage on foot and blow yourself up/kill yourself until you get the mission failed screen.
8. Go to free mode and go to your garage... You should have their car as your own BUT you have to reinsure it.


It seems long in writing but its really not that's just it in full detail.
