Usernames may seem easier, but they won't be. If someone asks for your facebook, they'll give a link with their user ID included, not some crappy username that's the result of a lack of decent names :P
I've got two usernames that I'd like to get, but I doubt I'll get them :( Worth a try though, so I'm staying up till 5. Decided against going for Aiden though, because what are the chances I'll have to give it up to the band Aiden? :/

you can see if your names been reserved and is in use already, because facebook employees and clients/journalists got offered custom names earlier.
type in the name your after at the end of the facebook addres, e.g http://www.facebook.com/mike mike's in use, even though 4 character name arn't allowed?
gonna leave my computer on, just stretch my arm over to press enter or whatever and hope for the best :P

Refresh just as it turns to zero manually, as the auto refresh has about a 2minute gap, you should be able to avoid the main wave of auto refreshes and load fast.
EDIT - im going, only 1 tab open, i want fb as lagles as possible.
