Wow, how brave!
Should knock him out and put him in a deep grave.
dno if its been said just read op.
Should we abolish prison altogether then along with all forms of punishment?
..as for innocence though, what about the unborn who are innocent? do they qualify for such worries from yourself?
Well actually I stated that we should use the civilised method concerning presumption of innocence until proven guilty, the right to a fair trial before a jury, the right to a defence, the right of appeal.... all of which are the most civilised methods of justice ever created.
Actually its the rubbish the anti-death penalty side come out with, as with the example above which i've just busted which is the idea that death is not a punishment - it clearly is hence why criminals use it on one another and hence my examples. We were a far less 'angry country' when we had the death penalty, infact ever since its removal and the softening of the justice system we've become much nearer to having mob-rule in this country concerning justice against criminals.Quote:

I didn't say I was opposed to it. The way I see it is they should serve time until their death, IMO sentencing someone to death is a) extreme (what if they're proven innocent later?) and b) a bit of a cop out in terms of a punishment (and no, they shouldn't be let out or their sentences shortened on "good behaviour" and all that rubbish)
But we're talking here about the small minority of people who aren't found not guilty and die in prison, just as we are also talking about the very very small minority of people who are wrongly sentenced to death and then executed before being found to be not guilty.
Both are undo-able, yet nobody suggests abolishing prison.
