To be honest you shouldn't give a stuff who or what they are, or how many posts or rep they have. They'll always bring that into the arguement.

I have alot of rep but I'm not going to put 2217 rep points in my sig or whatever, the only time I talk about it is when someone else made a thread about it and I jokingly try to brag. Also I have only bought 180 rep points (I wanted to donate to charity, I didn't need VIP and it was in the charity period) and I have 6 month subscription of VIP so I have earnt at least 2000 of it. Anyway I see your point.

I dont think its fun to go around repping people and receive rep back for doing nothing, partly because its against the forum rules to do so but also because you didnt earn the rep
Its a good reward and i often use it to judge whos loved on this forum and who really isnt

I dont judge peoples popularity on rep, someone could sign up to the forum, be a complete noob and have no rep but be a great guy on Habbo or IRL
I just think its a nice little reward to show the love

If I said I don't care about rep, I'd be lying. It's not as if I want tons of rep to be liked by people, I've earned my reputation during the years I've been here, people trust me eventhough I've never gone first during trades (let alone done much trades), but people still think I'm one of the most trustable people on this forum (mainly the people using the runescape section).

But I do want to get good rep, just to reach another rep block or point, I like getting rep but I especially like giving rep, so the main reason I want rep (and use the free rep with VIP) to give others rep (I always leave my name and the ammount of rep I give, e.g. *comment* micky.blue.eyes (+6rep) )

So I voted yes, eventhough I don't need the rep to become trusted.
