I think the best thing to do would be to completely ignore sulake, the most they can do is remove Habbox from the offical fansites list as Habbox hosts its self.

Lets set the stage on fire, and hollywood will be jealous.
Not that his 1 reputation point will do anything to you anyway.
Is that relevant?
NO
I suggest next time you post you find the facts. It's certainly his place to be talking about this, and he definitely knows what he's talking about. -rep for posting when being totally ignorant of what you're talking about. If you're just here to cause arguments I think I speak for everyone when saying you're not welcome here.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
wow I never actually realised how much money is spent to keep Habbox running and to think all this time I've been using it for freeCheers for the -rep much appreciated :eusa_whis
Take a look at these and see if you could afford it out your pocket money.

I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.
I am not saying those are habbox's exact costs but they run into 100s of poundsremember the domain names and vbulleting costs as well
even as a bought license u need to pay yearly for support.
it all adds up![]()
I'd love kurtis5561 to be able to provide around $1000+ worth of servers out of his/hers deep pocket.
Habbox cost a fortune to run and does so with the help of VIP sales and advertisements, though VIP contributes mostly to this. This is why we are having the big debate.
Oh i hate it when somebody reads the first post and jumps to last page and posts, id wish they'd read a few pages first and then comment![]()
Norbert's away until... oh, today apparently. Sent him a message the other day before he tottled off concerning the charity idea so might have an answer soon haha. But yeah he doesn't look very much online, hopefully he won't have a billion PMs when he does log on or he'll probably miss mine in the flurry![]()
I would also like to see HxF evolve from being a forum based around Habbo. Having said that I think it's too risky to just make the jump into being a non-Habbo related forum. Perhaps Habbox could just create a new forum separate from Habbo and keep HxF open (Using Impex to transfer over all relative posts to this new forum) and use funding from this new forum to pay for Habbox too. If it's a success, then HxF can be shut down completely and this new forum can be used. Venturing out into other markets anyways to get funding for Habbox is a good idea in my opinion.
Right thencan you explain more about Impex please
I did dismiss it to start but now want to see if what i write below is possible.
Questions for the technical people:
1) Can we have another forum that runs with Hxf members? so if I register on the other forum I would also get registered here?
2) Could Posts that are made on the other site also transfer to here as they are made and the ones made here transfer there?
Basically we are using the hxf databases to run another forumThis way habbox could start building a userbase there which would be mainly non habbos but also the HxF users will look part of it.
3) If the above is possible would it need identical categories and forums? or could on the other forum we hide most the habbo stuff so only with the url of them you could get there.
4) The other forum that is totally non habbo related could offer a subscription service but the hxf forum could have them removed totally. but if you bought the subscription through the other forum it would still be valid on here due to the shared database.
I know it would cost another VB license but im sure sierk has a spareit could run on one of the servers and probably the ccurrent HxF one.
Is this possibe?
Impex is an importing tool. You can import everything from the forum's database into a new database. Meaning you can import forums, threads posts, users, pms, etc..Not using Impex. However it is possible using this, or a similar script: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=185021Questions for the technical people:

If you just installed two forums to the same database then all users and posts would be the same. However using the script posted above you can choose only to share the same user table.Basically we are using the hxf databases to run another forumThis way habbox could start building a userbase there which would be mainly non habbos but also the HxF users will look part of it.
