actually, you probobly have got scammed
but, there's a shop down the street from me, and they're a licenced reseller of BSkyB. So it is possible for amateurs etc to do it, but not in all cases.

If i were you, i'd ring them myself.

Also for a note: It' is possible to get Sky and broadband for much less than £16 per month from sky themselves
