If you bought when you got your mac you ould of got free
To be fair considering apple charge like 15 pounds for a lead, in perspective £28 is good![]()
I might swear by OS X, but I'm not going to lie about Apple being stupidly expensive. If they played their cards right when Vista came out they could have done a lot more damage (thank god they didn't, though. Apple would be the WORST company to have a monopoly), instead they just sat there selling old hardware with a ridiculous markup.
Apple's keyboards are awesome, but if I didn't get it free with my iMac I would never be caught dead buying any sort of Apple peripherals. I use a Microsoft non Windows compatible mouse with my iMac![]()
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.

Now David. I was tempted to -rep you in that other thread, but for this I will change my mind and +rep you.
If Apple were not so expensive, then I would buy pretty much everything apple. But when I then look at it, by the time you buy all the cables they want for different bit's the price hikes.
When I built my custom PC, before that I almost bought an iMac (thank god I didn't, now they released the new ones). And yeh I love apple keyboards if they have numeric keyboards, I am not a huge fan of the oens without, not because I NEED the keyboard but because I feel it looks much better with it

Went and looked at the Apple keyboards and wasn't really that arsed about it so I spent my money on gran turismo 5 prologue instead. I like having a tiny keyboard because I always have loads of stuff on my desk so like the extra space. In that pic I took I threw everything onto my bed to make it look clear, all the junk is back on my desk now. :8 N yeh I agree that Apple like to have rather large price tags on their items but they wouldn't be known for being more prestige if they didn't do it.

Congrats dude. I'd kill for one of those beauts.
I agree with everyone in this thread that Apple are TOO expensive. I could build a better spec machine for half the price of an iMac.
This is how I see it, if you want a machine that has glory written all over it, go for a Mac. If you want a machine that has performance and has a cheaper price tag, go for a PC.
I, myself am a Mac fan. Purely because I LOVE the design and the uniqueness. A better OS? I wouldn't say that. Windows 7 is shaping up to be fantastic. Mac doesn't offer the features that Windows does, end of.
Back for a while.

To be known for having higher class products, you have to make the best and highest quality product you can but not only charge for the product itself but the name/logo that comes with it. All the top designer makes such as Dolce and gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Armani etc do make very high quality clothes that would be worth more than any other lower brand clothing regardless of the brand but they charge hundreds/thousands of pounds extra because of the brand/logo. This is what Apple have done, they charge loads for simple things like power adapters, cables, keyboards to maintain a good reputation for being the best. It's like whenever people see iPhones they say "wow an iPhone!" and it can be the same with Mac's. But to be honest, the sleek design, materials used to build it, the ridiculously high resolution HD display, the tidiness and enjoyable to use operating system could possibly tempt me to buy this iMac even if it wasn't apple.
Rushed this post but I hope I made a good point.
