You are most certainly correct :p. It's being discussed now, just waiting for a response from Sammeth who will reply tonight I expect . I didn't make it 100% clear in my last post, but I do essentially support this idea so hopefully it will happen - it does require a lot of work, but hey that's what we're here for and I am sure Matt and I can share that workload.

Bans and punishments shouldn't be based on quantitative infractions/warnings/user notes but should be based on qualitative ones instead anyway?

Im not a big fan of removing expired ones, but reversed ones I think should definitely be removed. Its no fun seeing our mistakes emblazoned upon your CP every time you take a peek. I think that could be gone about so simply. Just have a thread in the SMOD forum, every time a SMOD reverses a warning, post in the thread, Matt or Garion removes it, done and dusted (so really not a lot of work at all) and we can set up a temporary public thread in here where people can post the times and dates of reversed infractions so we can clear them up at your request. Myself, Garion and Matt can all chip in to clear that workload effectively. Not too much of a strenuous effor Im sure.

Expired ones are gonna take some convincing I think, I don't see why they should be removed, and if they do get removed, I think we should be considering sensible time limits.

Yeah, but once they've gone through the manual labour of removing all reversed ones maybe there could be a thread like rep and bad infraction one. "Report your reversed infractions here" so they can stay on top, don't know if that's any easier. Although, there has to be some sorta record for them because obviously if a moderator keeps getting their infractions reversed they need to be told how to moderate.

I like this idea and I think if expired ones are removed it should be ones over six months old, as I have learnt from my experience as a moderator that a person can change quite significantly over a period of six months

Yeah like Oli was fired and permed (I think). As was preoposterous (I think), Brandon has been fired, Nvr was fired once, PaulMacC was fired then SMod. All happened in 6 months so I don't see why they should hinder an individuals record when some people get permed/fired and 6 months on are in a senior postiton anyway. However, I do see the other side of the argument that it serves as evidence about an individual. I think user-notes serve this purpose well enough.

I was permed for over a year but yeah (unfair ban mind hence its reversal)

But yeah I've been fired 2 years ago and look at me now? People change and I think six months is a good enough time span for this to happen.

Starting to regret reversing it already.
