    There are two ways to look at this;
    A) you can't force somebody to carry out the traditions of a different religion, or;
    B) the head scarves etc aren't actually religious requirements.

    So basically the Muslims are shooting themselves in the foot.

    They are merely asking her to respect their views whilst she is in the mosque, for instance when you visit a synagogue men must cover their heads with the skullcap.

    If you are going to visit a religious place of worship you should cover yourself up, they aren't asking her to "pretend to be a muslim" or "dress as a muslim", just to cover up to respect their views.

    As far as I am aware Islam requires a certain dress code when attending Mosques but this is not the case for Catholic so it's kind of a moot point to say it wouldn't happen the other way around.

    Yeah but if it was a Catholic requirement, they would make an issue about it.

    How can you possibly make that assumption when it hasn't happened?

    Well it's the same as how we let them dress how they like in this country but if we go to their's, our women will be forced to cover themselves by law.

    That's what makes us better than them.

    As I said, they are only asking for people to respect their views and cover up a bit, wear a long sleeved top, trousers. Not asking them to wear a bloody burqa.

    If you go to a Church on a school trip i'm pretty sure a teacher would tell you off for wearing a satanic symbol.

    Normal/school clothes compared to a satanic symbol... yeah sounds about the same. :rolleyes:

    Nobody should be made to go to somewhere they don't want to.
