Going to the trouble of regularly uploading pictures to the Post a Picture of You thread (as people generally do rather than a one off thing) is completely different to just sticking one in your avatar. Allowing people to use pictures of themselves in avatars would put pressure on those who don't want to show their picture and would lead to bullying one way or another. And saying bullying would be dealt with and that they're not worth bothering about is beside the point. If those simple words actually worked then why are so many children affected by bullying in the world?I think there is more chance of bullying in 'post a picture' thread than in an avatar and it wouldn't be compulsory. Some people prefer to keep their privacy and in any event any bullying would be dealt with. Tbh anybody who bullies anybody about their looks is not worth bothering about anyway.
It does look tacky :/ It only ever works on dull, colourless forums with an age range of 18+. It would be nice, but on an aesthetic point of view, it just wouldn't look right and isn't a necessirty - you can get people talking about themselves in any of the other forums where relevance is pending![]()

Not really, lol. That's a bizarre thing to say. I definitely won't put an image of me as my avatar and I guarantee I won't be picked on because of it. The majority of users haven't posted pictures and they're under no pressure to do so, this is no different. You might get picked on if you're going around constantly commenting in PAPOY and sometimes criticising and then and only then have I seen "well lets see you then..."Going to the trouble of regularly uploading pictures to the Post a Picture of You thread (as people generally do rather than a one off thing) is completely different to just sticking one in your avatar. I said putting an option saying "I want it and I will put a picture of myself" and "I want it but I wont put a picture of myself" was pointless? I cant remember but I am very sorry if I did :p.
The options were for the 18+ and members under. I am sure most members would be mature enough just to vote for what they want, Oli. If they voted for all then it would just negate their vote.It does seem to be largely in favour at the moment too.

What's bizare is the way you keep generalising yourself as an average Habbox Forum member! I know you won't do it and won't experience any issues because of it, but I'm talking about much younger children who join the forum for the first time and see this culture of everyone displaying their own pictures and commenting on each other (which will happen) and they will feel pressured to conform even if they don't feel comfortable with it. The difference between this and PAPOY is that one thread isn't in full view all the time and can be easily avoided where as this will give opportunities for people to sneak in sly comments with every other post just because they don't like the colour of somebody's hair or something stupid like that. Not really, lol. Edit - about the poll:
If the poll allows you to vote for multiple responses then don't expect people to ignore this. I voted for 'No - Pictures should not be allowed for any members' but I also agree with 'No - Not even if you are 18' and I assumed the multiple answer thing had been set for a reason so I voted for both.

Well you should have no need at all to feel pressured to do anything you don't want to do. This rule covers it:What's bizzare is the way you keep generalising yourself as an average Habbox Forum member! If people make snide remarks then it is covered by the above rule and the rule will be enforced.A1. Respect other forum members ~ Always respect other forum members, this means do not be rude towards them and respect their opinions. You should not bully or victimise other members for any reason and you should not behave in a negative manner excessively.
I am very much an average Habbox member. VIP? no! donator? no! staff? no! Just old doherty. You can't assume people will feel the pressure to conform, it's a Habbo fansite. People won't if they don't want too - they should be given the option though. Times have changed, rules have to change with it. If anything by keeping it the way it is is scaring new members. As Catzsy, (who would know as a SMOD) it's new users who put themselves as their avatar and have to be told off for it - not the best start. Just to add, if they were picked on about it, the perpetrator would be dealt with. What's bizare is the way you keep generalising yourself as an average Habbox Forum member!
