Why does racism exist?

I'm not a racist person but someone was explaining to me that there are thousands of people in England that don't have a job because of people from other countries having them. I think black and white people should live in the same country and stuff but I understand where they're coming from. Then I watched a film called This Is England and that guy got it off that. ;lll

Yeah, Exactly it pisses me off how people always moan and say "the foreigners steal our jobs." Maybe looks for a job?

Wouldn't they be working illegally for £2.50 per hour? :S Isn't minimum wage like £5 something for over 18s? Or do immigrants not get it (OUTRAGE OUTRAGE).

I don't know but anytime if I say I hate someone whos black for no reason people always call me a racist but if I say I hate someone whos white for no reason thats perfectly fine, I don't understand racism. I hate allot of black people but then again I like allot, I mainly hate loads of black people because when I see them in the clubs they look about 40 and their grinding up against 18 year old girls, they look terrified, its vile.

Most of the black people I have spoke to are extremely rude but then you got a few who are really nice.

because people have bad experiences with someone of another race and then become prejudiced towards everyone of that race and make sweeping generalisations about them and then influence others to do the same.

and to say there's such thing as a 'british' job is just a joke. why should a job be allocated to you because you are of a particular nationality/race. Get more qualified, get better training and expect to be be paid FAIR wages, not hugely inflated ones.

A lot of workers who came here from Eastern Europe work on very low wages, its a fact. The worlds workforce in general works on very low wages also compared with the Western World, infact the United Kingdom is far ahead in terms of personal wealth compared to many what you would call 'developed countries'. It may be a generalisation but its a rather accurate one at that considering it was a one-sentence remark.

I didnt say illegally, I said that most people who come here (especially concerning Eastern Europe) are on low wages.
