Apart from Robert Green, Lennon was the best player on the field by a fair way.

Is there actually a reason that the rest of the British Isles doesn't like the England football team or is it just a hobby because you lot don't have one to support?

why should I? I'm Welsh. I support Cardiff and dislike Swansea as they are rivals. I doubt England would support the rest of us if it was the other way round. 3 weeks ago, most wanted Blackpool to win because they didn't want someone Welsh in "their" league. The way it's portrayed by the media gets on alot of people's nerves too.

Personally, if England didn't make the finals, I'd probably route for Wales and Ireland a fair bit. Scotland maybe less so.

Why are people bashing England? we by far out played a team that beat Spain 2-0, and a team that nearly beat Brazil and were leading them by 2-0 in a major final, if it weren't for Green we would have comfortable won this game. Yes, it may say they had 12 shots to OUR 18, but just think of how many of their shots were from more than 20 yards +.

The only time I really remember the USA troubling us is when Altidore (i think it was) missed a glancing header, and when they hit the bar. (which was a good save i'll give him that)

We should not be embarrassed about a side like the USA, they beat Spain and nearly beat Brazil, and we would have won if it weren't for some terrible goalkeeping.

I was impressed with how England performed today, and if we didn't have Green in goal today and if we had taken our chances we would have won comfortably, yes there is work to be done on our team but I'd rather we play like this now and then peak at a later time in the competition, and we should still fly through this group as leaders.

On a side note; Heskey was immense today, seriously, and should have had a goal himself.

Who bashed England?

Wasn't a bad result. What is annoying is that we should have won. Heskey, SWP and Lennon all messed up really big chances, and obviously there goal was a bit of luck but both teams played well although some of the English players were disappointing, and Rooney was one of them if I'm honest. He came to life later on but that was it.
