    I bet Orange fast-track SpeedTest.net connections to make them appear faster than they are, I've always suspected ISPs would do that one day (I'm not saying that's gone on here but it wouldn't surprise me).

    Just tried, mine says 2.8mbps, sounds about right.

    OOI, have you tried the test with another one of their servers?

    Message of this story is, frankly, no one cares about your Speedtest result. Speedtest isn't accurate, get over it

    Doubt it, I'm with Orange and I'm getting about the right speeds, comparing to what a download on Firefox takes at least. 5 Mbps isn't really that amazing

    It could be the server you're downloading from.
