I don't get all the negativity around them? At the start of the conference I was thinking

"NO GAMES." walk off stage.

They showed Zelda, which was great, went on to casuals and then I thought that was it. Next thing I know there's Donkey Kong Country, Golden Sun, Goldeneye and Metroid; pretty much my childhood all lined up for the first time in a while.

That and Epic Mickey, which I hate that it's a Wii exclusive, have been waiting for it for years.

It will never match MS or Sony?.....Yeh because Mario Galaxy 2 isn't the highest rated game of all time......Just because you don't like it it doesn't make it bad. I don't like Halo but I still appreciate that it's a decent well made game. The thing is Nintendo always mix up their New Mario and Zelda games and typically you will only get one 3D Mario (Apart from Wii which has two) and two Zelda's per console. Its hardly like other popular Genres such as Call of Duty or Guitar Hero where they release a new one every year is it?

But yes, Nintendo won't catch up with the 360 or PS3. I doubt the 360 will catch up to the PS3 either in terms of hardware, same as the PS3 system won't ever be as good as Live. It's a vicious circle, but I think Nintendo have had their time

Hardware does not make a console, software does and always has. Hardware should only used to facilitate the software that a developer wants to make, when a developer has a good idea and it can't be done on Wii then Nintendo should look at what they can do to accommodate that, whether this takes the form of an accessory or maybe a software update. However honestly I can't see how Nintendo have "Had their day". Look at the top 3 most critically games in history, 2 of them are Wii games and the Wii is by far the best selling console on the market.

I think Sony could easily get a system like M$s but it doesn't give the option between the peer to peer live or the open network psn.

Hardware does not make a console, software does and always has. Hardware should only used to facilitate the software that a developer wants to make, when a developer has a good idea and it can't be done on Wii then Nintendo should look at what they can do to accommodate that, whether this takes the form of an accessory or maybe a software update. Anyway just because it's critically acclaimed doesn't mean it's amazing, look at GTA IV. As said by some reviewers, alot is based off of the consumers themselves rather then the actual game. And tbh I would like to know your source LOL.

new console? I dont class a 3DS as a console.. and not really, but i suppose you have to be fans of the things to begin with to understand why theyre big. But as i said before, i hate playing things which look ugly, and most things they demoed look childish and horrible to my eyes, (except donkey kong) and i would never even touch them because i do hate playing games which look horrible.

So why isn't the 360 outselling the wii? The Wii is $250 and the 360 is $199...well $149 now is it not?

Of course at the end of the day the review is only a guide and the descision is down to the end user themselves but the fact is "reviewers" are the only way to get a game rated with minimum fanboyism. We've all seen it, before Mario Galaxy 2 was even out numerous people had given it a "0"
