Yes I believe the default power settings are something along these lines. You can change all these options in Control Panel if memory serves.

I usually never shut off the Mac or PC. Although once in a while it's a good idea to reboot just to clear out any ram flukes or pointless processes running.

When I faced similar problems with windows in the past I found that the best remedy was usually to reimage.

God I never shut down any of the 3 computers I use frequently. Makes me feel bad.

I leave my computer on quite a lot usually only shutting it down if i decide i'm going to be away for too long. If im out I often use the time away from it to do scans and such so when I'm back I know I can do what I want without them interupting whatever I'm doing - espcially if its gaming or something with high resources.

I'll reboot for updates and stuff.

Should i listen to him and just log off my computer? And by doing that, does the energy still runs like how it was when I'm using it?
Could you provide the BSOD error code?

I'd try to find out what it is - it could be a simple issue but if its something worse ignoring it may simply cause it to grow and grow.
Oh my! Let's hope it's not something serious. I think it's just some loose part on the RAM.

I can't really remember, it happened once only. But blank screen happened more than twice in a month.

isn't putting it on 'sleep' mode effectively changing the screen darkness as much as turning it off?

I think it keeps everything in the RAM and runs just a checking task (For keyboard/mouse use) on the CPU reducing the power required. I think hibernate is similar but stores it to HDD and turns off.

Yes. When hibernating the data on ram is written to a pagefile before it cuts power.

it's just a key down and mouse down event.
