Yeah, and it'll just get spammed like the what are you listening to thread by the same 2 or 3 people every few minutes lol

Exactly, I think they should just leave the music thread how it is. It's there to post music but I think people have to say in the thread like why they like the song

Yeah, really this is all Samsa is complaining about, there is no need for a new thread to be made for music videos, but K-Cat has just made one so like... We could use that if we like? But no point in stickying it at all.

Nope and that defeats the object because that is the whole reason why people post music videos on there to get other peoples opinions on the song and the video, this is why there should be a rule or something which says that you have to say your own opinion on the song!

Not all of them no, but that's not the point, you can't use the fact she's new to the forum as an excuse to not punishing her for breaking the rules. If I pointless posted I'd get warnings left, right and centre. If I had broken rules in my first few weeks I wouldn't expect to be treated differently

No and this user has been sent a PM explaining this, however when you were a new member and perhaps broke a few rules would you expect a feedback thread ridiculing you? No you bloody well wouldn't, and that's why this thread is ridiculous.

General pointless posting doesn't get you warnings/infractions as far as I'm aware? You'd get a PM advising you not to do it again as I'm sure the user in question has. She probably didn't even realise that those threads were pointless because posting a music video can actually provoke discussion. If a user posts a music video asking for and giving opinions on the song then surely it's fine.

I can see where you're coming from though. Posting several music videos a day all with their own threads could be seen as "cluttering" said forum but as long as it's provoking discussion. However, that's what a forum is all about...

So yes, I think that's all issues with this thread covered:

- Posting a music video without any text is pointless posting
- Users doing it will be PM'd by a Moderator
- One user has done it recently and this is a new member, you are posting here to moan about one individual member, how welcoming.
- We have a stuck thread for random songs you want to share without any comment - What are you Listening to - nothing stopping videos going in there.
- The music section is for sharing music you like with other people.
