    That made me smile

In Europe their prices are outright appalling and rediculously expensive. If I was a European I would not own an Apple product simply because I wouldn't be able to afford an Apple product. In its North America counterparts their prices still are ample, although it's nowhere near as bad and for what it's worth their build quality is pretty slick anyway.

Following onto Davids Comment, When I was on the online apple store looking for an itouch the difference in price between the american price and english was huge. Infact it worked out cheaper for me to go to argos But all things considered i love my ipod touch and the apps and the ammount of apps you can get are truly unique its not just facebook , or msn its games weather reports everything. So as i use it for more than just music i think the price is worth it

As mentioned it depends really on what you want it for.

My opinion is that although most of there stuff is good the iPad is simply overrated - I just don't see the point in it - its would be too big for me to carry around with me - if i was going to carry something around like that I'd rather take a laptop. And at home you've got tvs/monitors etc for watching stuff.

I think there other products are pretty decent if not great, but yes they are quite expensive.

And for anyone who says it depends what you want them for, no, no it does not. They both do the same thing in the same way.

The computers are overpriced in my opinion but iPods are brilliant.

Not really. Macs most certainly aren't overrated or overpriced for a creative and media professional. I currently work for a design studio and everyone there uses Macs because the included software, such as Garageband, is far superior to any Windows equivalent. The best thing you can get on Windows that has the same functions as Garageband is Mixcraft which is incomparable to Garageband in quality, feature set, customisation and sound loops.

iPods they revolutionised MP3 players and made music more portable and practical ( rumours of a new one from the september event) .

With my iPhone 3G i love its simplicity and how it's so easy to use. I doubt i could ever change to another phone after using my iPhone as i just love the way with the operating system. Getting iPhone 4 Christmas.

iPad, people do say its a oversized iPod touch. But it's a lot more powerful and a better memory, and great for watching movies. I'm getting my 32GB iPad on 8 of september and i'm going to mexico on the 28th so that will see how useful it is for me, like sending my course work over email.

Apple TV, I don't think that picked up as well as their other products at first It wasn't really advertised much in the public image like you see adverts for iPods , iPhones all the time. But with Apple rumoured to be realising a very much updated version in the September Apple event maybe it will change some things.

Over all, I don't think Apple products are overrated I think their worth the money they retail for most of their products look very greatly designed. Their simple to use!
May I point out, the iPad cannot do anything a netbook can't, apart from an app store. A netbook can send work by email.

Also if you cannot understand how to use windows then to be quite plain about it - you have no idea how to use a computer in the first place.

You say that their products are over priced, but it's a buisness and they want money, they're not worried about the number of customers, because they get millions, so why would they lower their prices when people still buy their products nevermind the price.

Audio professionals know GarageBand is complete crap (I know it is, I have a MacBook) and wouldn't use it (they'd using something else like Logic Studio or Reason). Also may I point out, Adobe only just made a "proper" Mac port of their products with CS5? All Adobe products before CS5 were actually designed for and ran far better on Windows (arguably they still do).

It's one of those rediculously false statements people make, if anything Macs are worse for media production for people like Audio professionals who need a lot of I/O ports and software availability. Granted the colour and display profiles are much better out of the box on a Mac, but it easily fixed on Windows.

Never said in my original post that a iPad can't do anything a netbook can't.

I perfectly know how to use windows I use it all the time at school So I know how to use a computer. But But to be quite plane about it, I just find using my Mac more enjoyable, faster , easier then a PC.
