Blatter didn't choose the winner, so don't think he has anything against your country. FIFA wants to expand the game to countries that are developing. Those who say the Russians were bribing the FIFA officials are probably wrong. England was also caught bribing some of the Oceania officials. I don't think you can blame anyone, but enjoy what you got, enjoy the Olympics, rugby world cup etc...

You can't bid for every competition lol... 2030 is the next one we're allowed to put our case forward on, and if we go for that and lose then god knows when we can next try and so on

I haven't read through the 16 pages of this because it'd take too long, but I'm guessing there are lots of fellow Brits thinking we were hard done by, etc.
But even before the Panorama show was aired, Russia were the CLEAR favourites to win the bid, and if we weren't all biased as Brits, we'd have known they had a stronger bid.
Of course there is corruption in Fifa, and as our head of bid said, we shouldn't try and get the World Cup again until there is a major clean up of Fifa and its executives.
Whether Russia won fairly or not is out of the question, because with 2 votes, we must've finished last out of the 4 main bids, which is quite humiliating, considering Holland actually broke FIFA rules by publishing their demands, and still seemingly ended up getting more votes than us.

But we arent even going to get that, instead we are going to have to travel to one of the most corrupt, expensive and racist countries on earth.

I predicted this outcome.

Russia bribed them - as Panorama proved. So did Qatar but no one cares. The unfortunate thing is that Panorama could've aired NEXT week and got BETTER audience attention once we had won/lost the bid. If we had lost then people would've paid more attention because they'd be able to point fingers - if we had one we'd just be like "at least they changed in time". But they showed it before hand and could potentially be scapegoats for the bid's failure.

tbh, most of you are all biased. russia were the favourites to win, they were predicted no.1 by the bookies, so idk why you are all accusing russia of bribing, because there is no proof, however, there is proof that england tried to bribe, so seriously, you cant say anything.
