I never said that religions weren't violent and didnt have violent parts, but the fact that ALL media these days is all centred at islam is getting old and incredibly boring. And you may think it does a lot of good, which it does, but i think we're better off without it, but thats a debate for another thread :p

Backwardness - Same in every religion
Barbarity, bloodshed, fear - ^ same as above
Prejudice, suspicion - You get a lot in western society also, eg. this thread. As for suspicion, let me go walk on a train speaking some random asian language and lets see how quickly my cart empties.

All the rest you speak as though Islam is a country, it isnt. Sure there is laws which go through the Qu'ran, but that isnt why there is no free non-religious education.

I've said it and ill say it again after all these crappy debates come up. I dont care about religion and we'd be better off without it, so dont come trying to persuade me how bad a religion is because i think they all are. I just dont like the prejudice that i receive because of said religions because of my skin colour, and that is why i back up islam.

Quit blaming Islam, there are many parts of Christianity that are just as bad if not worse. I'm not saying I like Islam by any means but lets be honest, it's becoming a scapegoat for hate against ethnic minorities.

There is a difference though, Christianity had to be dragged kicking and screaming into the modern world - Islam has not yet gone through that process. However this particular incident is clearly just a fluke event as most people are moderate when it comes to their religion.

Yeh I'd agree to a certain extent. I mean Western Muslims certainly aren't as radical as their overseas brethren but they do hold their values true. See this is what I don't understand, how can Christians believe in the power of Bible and Christ when most of them choose to ignore many of the teachings of it. At least with Islam they are keeping to their religions core moral values.
