You set it, it says it's on - the little alarm icon appears at the top, then it just doesn't go off. Similar to others I just thought I'd slept through it, although my alarm is so loud I would say it's probably impossible.

That's pretty strange... Why Apple have made their application depend so heavily on the year is beyond basic rational thought. It would be interesting to see what they did to make it fail like this

Didn't realise other people had problems with the iPhone Alarm when clocks changed in October, mine was in a right mess for weeks and I assumed it was just me. Just as well I'm not at college atm so I'm not relying on it

Will the problem be fixed remotely over the Internet or will I have to install some large update for it :/

Apple aren't fixing it, they're waiting for it to fix it self

Their app will probably have to take the year into account seeing as iOS uses UNIX time and that runs in relation to some time around 1977 or something iirc... I think :S

So far they've said "it will work as of January 3" so I'm guessing remotely.

It won't need an update, the time just has to go past a certain point, hence it's a waiting game on Apple's part.

Haha fair enough. I don't understand why they don't predict these things in advance by moving the clock forward, it always baffles me when there's clock issues on technology.

Probably totally wrong but I think it's because of something to do with the hardware clocks (in relation to testing).
