I am not denying you your right to give feedback. I am instead providing counter feedback, and am alleging that the issue that you raise is no longer an issue, and therefore is a case-closed situation that doesn't need further discussion. You are free to continue discussing it, I will just continue to contend that we should let the issue rest, because there is really no need to argue against a change that had very little impact on the overall user experience.

There is a difference between an "entry-level" position and joining an organization. If the member is joining the company as an "entry-level" employee, you have a point. But here again we return to the idea that this is based on a hierarchical organization, something that Habbox seeks to avoid. You could join up with a company as an executive or mid-level manager you know

    But what has worked?

We already know Habbox has far less users than it used to.

Certainly not since May of last year, Dom and I know that a much higher % of new members are staying with us than ever before.

However, if it has more active users than it did a month ago, the policy might be succeeding (or the policy may have nothing to do with it, but I still fail to see how the far less users than it used to is pertinent, or if it's even still true).

Does someone with ACP access want to post active user stats?

Can a survey be made sent to all new users once they have been singed up for a month? We will ask why they stayed. Let's see if it because of the features or if it is because they just enjoy posting.

Rosie and I know that a much lower amount of people actually sign up than in the past.

I would be interested to see this from one year before these changes were introduced, otherwise viewing them would be invalid.

These two statistics are easily found, if the admins aren't too busy and are lovely enough to oblige us.

I think this can be answered by my post here in the thread in which you congratulated habbox on it's rise in activity not long ago.

    I did indeed.

Although, I am certain the change in user ranks didn't affect this - if it did it took a VERY long time for the changes to have any affect

    Looking at those stats now.

From what I can see, user activity stats has remained stable over the past 12 months with the average in January 2010 being around the same as the average in January 2011 (around 450-500 visitors a day) with the exception of September - November in which the stats dropped to 200-300 visitors per day - this has now improved back to the normal 450-500.

New registration stats are considerably higher than the "normal" months of last year, January 2010 got about 30-40 users registering per day, January 2011 40-60, however during 2010 it did drop to 10-20 at certain points.

Posting stats are up around 30% on January 2010, and considerably up against the last 6 months of 2010.

That last bit is fantastic news.

Especially considering the amount of spam posts that happened in discuss anything at the time!
