Although this is going off topic, the bitrate wouldn't really change once both djs are on mono and have the same kb/s.

We use SAM2 or 3 at Habbox atm and it's fine, it doesn't need changing.

I'm not saying it does and why do you have to be so patronising? I am aware what habboxlive use. What I am trying to say is they could broaden the doors and allow other djs to use sam broadcaster 4 if they want to.

I'm not being patronising, all I am saying is that I heard that it wouldn't be practical to start using SAM4 because everyone would have to change to SAM4.

In my opinion, the ask the HabboxLive staff forum should only be used for HabboxLive queries to do with HabboxLive because all SAM Broadcaster problems can be posted in the Technology section where they are most likely to get more replies because there are much more members available to answer the question rather than a limited amount, faster replies which is the same as my previous point, and last of all better replies because sometimes you have DJs that just post there with no clue or say something like "I'll ask someone to answer this question for you". In the Technology section you have people who know about SAM Broadcaster so they can expand on any rubbish replies.

Threads about SAM should stay in the Technology section where they belong.

To be fair to Remel, that message didn't really come across in your original post so that might be why he got a bit defensive about the whole thing as your original post made it sound like you were suggesting all the DJs change to SAM4.

Anyway, I agree that these threads shouldn't really be moved simply for the HabboxLive DJs. They may not have the technical experience required to answer it where non-hxl techie experts could. That's not saying the DJs fail cos their job is to DJ (with the minimum techie knowledge required to do that job and some will therefore know more than others).

Yeah I don't get why this would happen anyway? I agree it needs to stay in Technology. With the greatest respect towards HxL people, most of them are pretty young so it would make more sense to give it to the Technology section as they contain older members which are more likely to give the correct answer.

I agree that kind of thread would be best suited to the technology section but I totally understand why Shar moved it to the HabboxLive forum. I'll make sure that in future the threads are moved into the appropriate forum within Technology & The web!

However, I think there must be some reasons why it is moved to HXL forum. Anyway, I don't understand why DJs don't know how to use SAM Broadcaster. I mean there are threads posted on HXL that'll teach them how to use SAM Broadcaster. DJ Jazz Woodsy also posted a SAM Broadcaster tutorial to help those young and new DJs. The main problem is they don't read those threads and they don't pay attention to HXF. Enough said.

Are you blind? Richie said it was someone who WANTED to apply to be a DJ, not someone who was a DJ.

Also to the person who started getting all protective over SAM 2, take a hike. You are operating on ancient technology with a **** 96 kb/s mono bitrate, heck some DJs even use an even lower bitrate, that makes me feel like I'm listening to some 1960s television set.

Anyway, to the point there are many more people who know how to use SAM broadcaster on the forum MUCH better than many of the DJs, so it should all be in technology anyway.

Especially since alot of old DJ's who have used SAM 2/3/4 for years are still around on the forum to give advice compared to some DJ's on the current staff list who have only being using it for a couple of weeks.
It should have always been in Tech section. - good shout richie
