But it's still ideal for a warning and a spoiler to be placed so if the user doesn't want to at any time hear that language than they don't have to and then they are aware it contains the bad language due to the warning and spoiler the video has.

But it won't play unless you make it play, so they won't hear the video unless they click the play button The spoiler seems a bit of an unnecessary measure in most circumstances where the title of the video and the preview picture are the only bits that will need a spoiler. If the title and the preview picture are fine, then I don't think moderators should waste their time telling members to add it to a spoiler, just because it has swearing somewhere in the middle of the video which only people who have clicked play will see and know about.

I didnt twist anything, more how i interpreted what you said. It's not just because we've been on the forum forever (which honestly should be a big factor, we know this forum, our contributions should honestly be heard instead of being instantly dismissed), but its the MAJORITY. And not going to change ? why the hell not? If the majority want it, why not? This is the stupidest answer i've EVER seen. My god.

It is up to those who own the forum in the end not the members even if it is a 'majority'. The listening part though is a given, providing it is not the same old record being played over and over again. This thread does seem to have sparked off something new though!

I agree, I honestly think if there was a button just under the "paste video url" saying "Tick this box if this is mild 18+ content etc" it's not that I'm lazy I just forget and seeing that underneath wouldn't only save me time but would help me remember I need to had spoilers.

Mildly inappropriate content (never anything rated 18+) is allowed where sufficient warning is added into the post and the image or link is placed within a spoiler. The final decision on what is or is not inappropriate is at the Moderator's discretion

Well that's a little contradicting considering some kids aren't allowed say **** so I'd imagine their parents deem it rude and inappropriate their parents can't tell them not to swear when they're 18 as they're an adult so in some sense it is 18+

Would you rather we just stopped you from posting videos that contain swearing? We allow you to post videos that swear in a spoiler as well as post images that contain mild swearing in spoilers as it avoids the filter. The rule is there as they avoid the filter but videos are allowed to be posted as longs they are in a spoiler.

No, we'd rather be allowed to post a video which contains one swear word without moderators jumping down your throat, skipping with joy that they have another warning to add to the tally. Honestly, I didn't even realise there was a swear word in that song, next thing I know, I've got a warning pm and my post has been edited, it's over the top, especially when were a fansite based around habbo, which has realised what the majority want, a language filter, and has actually implemented it. Where as you wont even do a poll, simply because you don't want it to change for some unknown reason.

You got a PM reminding you to put any videos that contain mild swearing in a spoiler? It wasn't a warning, it was a PM reminding you that's completely different from a warning.

I wasn't going to make a poll because we aren't going to remove the fact that peopled need to add a warning that the video contains swearing? Also at the end of the thread I did post saying that we are going to try and make it so when a video is posted that it automatically includes a warning which will hopefully resolve the issue.

Well that's not what is normally meant by 18+ I would compare it to the film censorship board which issues certificates for each different age group and it's more applicable to inappropriate content.

See my edit. Another example is mild swearing used before the TV watershed. Hardcore swearing is never allowed until after.

in fairness though sct moderation has got stricter for some reason, inser was saying the system changed where everything is based on mod reports which is ridiculous they're going to want to warn anyone for anything to get their mod report up.

Sounds quite like a warning, doesn't it? and if that isn't a warning, it should be worded differently.

We wanted a poll on a completely different issue. A lot of people seem to want an optional filter on the forum, that's what the poll was in regards to.
