When you post videos, they are larger than the warning. So the first thing any member will see is the actual video and will most likely just go and click it regardless. If videos or other such content is posted under a spoiler and a warning added, they will not see the video first but the warning and the spoiler which makes it needed to be done.

The rule is also:
Mildly inappropriate content (never anything rated 18+) is allowed where sufficient warning is added into the post and the image or link is placed within a spoiler.

So it's not just youtube videos, it goes for images and links. We won't be getting rid of the spoiler but we will make it easier for you not to forget to add it with the suggestion a few of the members posted in one of the recent feedback threads.

Why should I receive a pm for not adding a spoiler even though I added a warning? As most have said the video doesn't automatically play.

Come now, red writing isn't overlooked at the size it's posted - should you even be concluding this on assumptions? If bold, red writing was overlooked then moderator warnings in the past must of been overlooked all the time.

That's such a lame excuse. The reality of it is they would click the spoiler anyway. After all you always refer to 90% of the forum as "children" if you were to say to a child "see that big red button on the wall, don't press it" what do you think they're going to do? If the text is red and bold you can always see the warning just above the video.

This is getting old now, Richard. We are adding the automatic spoiler feature, and your avoiding the filter usernote (again not infraction or warning) has been reversed. Be happy with that.

We will not be changing the filter or allowing videos without adequate warning, period.

Not really lame, it makes sense. I also don't see why people wanting this changed, no one gets a warning or an infraction added to their account UNLESS they repeatedly break the rule. If you have forgotten to put a warning and a spoiler than a moderator will do that but they will also remind you of the rule to make sure you don't do it again. I don't see the problem in them doing that what so ever.

The spoiler is needed for the reasons I've posted, regardless if you think it is lame or not. There is no need to change it and we won't be changing it.
